Progressive Insurance 2023: Offers Review

One of the top 100 insurance companies worldwide and the third largest insurance carrier in the United States, the Progressive Corporation is known to all insurance professionals and millions of auto, home, health, and life insurance seekers. Innovative and all-encompassing, Progressive is worth exploring for anyone looking for affordable coverage of the highest quality.

Without further ado, let’s review Progressive and its major offers.

About Progressive

On March 10, 1937, Progressive was established by Jack Green and Joseph Lewis. The insurance company came into the spotlight by offering auto insurance to high-risk drivers. Progressive has always been about innovations and improvements – first, they revolutionized the auto insurance industry and then expanded to other insurance industries, including home, health, and life insurance. In 1987, the insurance company surpassed a notable mark of $1 billion in written premiums, a tiny fraction of the $40 billion in net premiums they earned in 2021.

Progressive Corporation became the first major auto insurer to embrace Internet technologies. In 1995, they launched their website. A year later, you could get auto insurance quotes online. A year after that, you could buy auto insurance policies online with a few clicks.

Today, Progressive is a thriving insurer providing coverage for popular insurance niches, including auto, home, health, life insurance, and pet insurance. On their website, you can find all the tools that you might need when shopping for insurance: rates comparison, quotes, chatbots, and more.

“I was involved in an automobile accident with a customer of progressive. The agent assigned to my case Rachele demonstrated zero empathy and made us feel like we unconvinced her. She is a terrible rep of your company and makes me never want to be a customer. She originally initiated denial and finally took responsibility against their driver who was sited for a hit and run against us. I asked for our car to be fixed and to pay me for income loss as a result of the accident, while we are in a pandemic and already dealing with that as I am a small business. She refused and told me she isn’t obligated per law to do anything for me.”

Suzy ( 1 star )

“I recently switched back to Progressive because I had them a few years prior and actually liked them. About 1-2 weeks ago my brother borrowed my car and someone ran a stop sign and hit my car. Well, my car is fully covered and the accident wasn’t my brothers fault so the claim process should be relatively painless, right ?? WRONG They wanted to know why my brother was driving my car. Fair enough i explained he just borrowed it. They wanted proof he didn’t live with me and wasn’t a daily driver. Fine. Sent proof of my brothers address. THEY WANTED TO KNOW WHY MY CAR WAS AT HIS PLACE IN OCTOBER !? WTF … Didn’t know I needed Progressives permission to visit places.CREEPY AF. Progressive also wanted to know why I had two cars? First of all, one was a gift from my job and second its none of your business. Is Progressive this hard up they dont want to pay claims to customers that pay their monthly policy FOR THIS REASON? The claim on my car is still pending. They’ll probably want to come to my home and check under the beds to make sure my brother isn’t there. I miss Geico and really made a bad decision switching back to Progressive. I’m not sure what happened in the past few years but they went from 5? to 1.”

I received a charge on my Progressive account for $300 for an additional driver fee even though I am the only person that drives my vehicle. I called Progressive to dispute this charge and was told that I would have to pay it before it could be investigated further. Since that time, I have not received any communication from Progressive and am trying to get this charge removed.

I was involved in a accident on or around October 13th. I called Progressive the next day to report the accident as they are my insurance provider. They informed that the person handling my case would contact me and she did. Her name is ********** ** ** ***. Her phone number is ************. After sending her pictures and a detailed description of the damage to the car she stated that she believed the car to be totaled and that she was 98.5% sure. She arranged for the car to be picked and taken to a Progressive yard. She had me completely clean the car out. After the car was picked up days later I did not hear from her again. I called around October 27 and 28th and she did not respond at all. Her voicemail had no indication that she was away. I called October 31st and spoke to someone who assured me that she would be back and that they would send me a breakdown of what the yard estimated the damages were going to cost to repair. The yard had made a determination that the car could be fixed on October 24th and no one called me at all. I spoke with her supervisor around November 1st. The supervisor was provided with the collision center I wanted to have the car delivered to. She stated that she would assign and assist and have it completed and that someone would reach out to me. This never occurred. I called the Supervisor and ********** multiple times with no response. The supervisor told me that ********* would return on November 7th and she still did not return my call or answer when I called. Also it does not appear that everything I relayed to ********* was provided to the yard who inspected the damage. I have been told that the frame was bent and that the car was totaled. The company not communicating with me has me concerned that I am being frauded. I just want my car somewhere where this process can get started. Its costing me money to provide another car to drive while the company holds me up. The supervisor number is ************
